GRAND JUNCTION, CO., DECEMBER 5 – Bolstering the team with a longtime industry-recognized executive, Cloudrise is excited to welcome Vikrant Arora as an advisor.

Vikrant possesses more than 20 years of experience establishing enterprise cybersecurity programs, building next generation security leaders, driving unprecedented risk management, and expertly responding to security incidents and threats to business continuity.

“This is a fantastic addition to the Cloudrise team,” said Cloudrise CEO Rob Eggebrecht. “Vikrant is well-respected leader in the industry, and we’re very happy to have him join us.”

Vikrant joins Cloudrise as an advisor after serving as the CISO for Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), the largest academic medical center specializing in musculoskeletal health and a world leader in orthopedics and rheumatology. Setting the tone of the cybersecurity organization at the board level, Vikrant led a multiyear security strategy to fuel digital transformation, while capturing millions of dollars in cost savings, and maintaining a security posture among the top 10% in the industry.

“An increasing lack of qualified talent and misconfiguration are major causes of breaches and incidents today,” Vikrant said. “With a hyper-focused team and innovative service offering, Cloudrise can protect organizations’ data throughout the lifecycle. I am delighted to join Cloudrise in fulfilling this mission.”

Before his time at HSS, Vikrant served as CISO for NYC Health + Hospitals, the nation’s largest public healthcare delivery system with $10B+ in revenue. There, he reported cyber risk to the NYC mayor’s office, led security and compliance for the largest EMR implementation in the country, and championed workforce alignment to better protect the information security of 45K+ employees. In addition, Vikrant has served on the Board of the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security and is a featured contributor for Fox News, Healthcare IT News, and SC Media.

Recognized throughout his journey, Vikrant has been named a two-time Becker’s Healthcare CISO to Know, SC Media CSO of the Year, Gartner Most Valued Professional, North America Information Security Executive of the Year, and received the Intel Cybersecurity Innovation Award.

Currently providing strategic cybersecurity counsel as an advisory board member and vCISO, Vikrant is moving enterprises forward with end-to-end security and compliance programs and business enablement. Additionally, he is co-authoring a book with Taylor & Francis called “AI and Cyber Handbook for Healthcare Boards.”

As an advisor to Cloudrise, Vikrant will bring his extensive expertise and “voice of the customer” to every decision we make about how we provide world-class services to our esteemed clients.
